What is the Lapar Merchant platform?

Lapar is a food marketplace that allows F&B businesses to reach nearby customers via delivery and self-pickup. As a merchant, you manage your menu, orders, and store settings using the FCS Merchant App, available on App Store, Google Play, and Huawei AppGallery.

How do I join Lapar as a merchant?

To get started:

Are there any setup fees or monthly charges?

No. Lapar charges no setup fee and no monthly subscription for basic merchant usage. You only pay a service fee per order (if applicable).

🍽️ Menu, Store & Operations​

How do I manage my menu?

You can easily manage your menu from the FCS Merchant App:

  • Add/edit items, prices, and descriptions
  • Upload images for each item
  • Mark items as sold out in real time
Can I update my business hours or go offline?

Yes. You can:

  • Set operating hours by day
  • Pause your store anytime using the β€œGo Offline” toggle (e.g., during breaks, public holidays, or stock issues)
How do I receive and manage orders?

When a customer places an order, you’ll get a real-time notification in the FCS Merchant App. You can:

  • Accept or reject the order
  • Update its status (preparing, ready, completed)
  • View customer notes and contact details
  • Chat directly with the customer
When should I start preparing an order?

For delivery orders, please wait until a rider has accepted the job before preparing the food. This ensures your food remains fresh and avoids early preparation if no rider is found.

🚚 Delivery, Pickup & Food Court Features​

What delivery options are available?

Lapar supports:

  • Lapar’s delivery partners
  • Merchant’s own riders
  • Self-pickup by customers
How does self-pickup work?

You prepare the order as usual, and when it’s ready, mark it as β€œReady” in the app. The customer will be notified to come and collect the food.

I run a food truck. Can I use Lapar?

Yes! Lapar is food truck–friendly. You can:

  • Update your live location
  • Set mobile operating hours
  • Offer pickup and delivery (if available)

Lapar even features a Food Truck Menu section to help customers discover your location.

Does Lapar support food court setups?

Yes. FCS Merchant offers a Table QR Order System, perfect for food courts or shared dining spaces. Each table has a unique QR code. Customers can:

  • Browse multiple vendors’ menus
  • Place orders from their table
  • Choose from 3 payment types:
    1. Online payment
    2. Payment upon food serve
    3. Counter payment

This system is unique in Malaysia and helps modernize food court operations.

Can I operate multiple branches?

Yes. Each branch will have its own individual store listing in the app.

Do I get a profile page on Lapar?

Yes. Every merchant has a dedicated profile page with:

  • Store name, logo, cover image
  • Menu and pricing
  • Operating hours, contact, and delivery options

You or your customers can easily share your profile link via WhatsApp, social media, or messaging.

What if I have multiple branches under the same brand?

You’ll also get a brand-level generic page that lists all your outlets β€” sorted by proximity to the customer. This page is sharable and helps promote your brand at scale.

πŸ’° Payments, Refunds & Add-ons​

How do I get paid?

All online payments are processed by Lapar and transferred to your registered bank account based on a payout schedule. You can view all payout details in the β€œPayout” menu in the FCS Merchant App.

Who sets the prices on the app?

You do. Merchants are responsible for setting their own menu prices. Lapar does not apply any markup β€” the prices shown to customers must match your in-store pricing.

Are merchants required to match in-shop prices?

Yes. Merchants must upload menu prices that are the same as in-store. Lapar enforces a strict no markup policy to maintain trust and transparency with customers.

How are refunds handled?

If a customer cancels or requests a refund:

  • You will review and approve the cancellation
  • Once approved, Lapar will process the refund
  • The amount will be credited to the customer’s Lapar Wallet
Does FCS Merchant offer extra features like POS?

Yes. You can opt in to additional tools like a Point-of-Sale (POS) system to manage dine-in and takeaway alongside online orders.

Who owns the customer data?

You do. Lapar provides full access to your customer order data, including:

  • Name
  • Contact number
  • Order history

This enables you to build your own loyalty programs, handle direct support, and re-market independently.
